The report on urban poverty assessment in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City is developed under the project “Support for in-depth evaluation of urban poverty in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City” funded by the United Nations Development Programmes (UNDP) with the Hanoi People‟s Committee and the Hochiminh People‟s Committee as the national implementation partners, and Hanoi Statistics Office and Ho Chi Minh Statistics Office as the implementing agencies.
This report is edited by Ms. Le Thi Thanh Loan (Acting director of Ho Chi Minh Statistics Office), Mr. Do Ngoc Khai (Deputy director of Hanoi Statistics Office), and Ms. Nguyen Bui Linh (Poverty and Social Development Cluster, UNDP), written by Professor Jonathan Haugton (Suffolk University, USA), Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Loan, Ms. Nguyen Bui Linh and national experts including Mr. Ngo Doan Gac, Ms. Dang Thi Hong Ha, Mr. Nguyen Viet Dzung, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Chinh, Ms. Le Thi Kim Chi, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Loan and Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tuong. Tables in annexes are built by Mr. Ngo Thanh Yen and Ms. Lo Thi Duc. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Dinh and Ms. Tran Thi Trieu Nhat of Hochiminh Statistics Office support in the whole report development.
